Born from the unprecedented association between Portuguese musician Charlie Mancini, pianist and composer of music for cinema and the French artist Pamela Hute, melodist and rocker by heart, Alen Tagus explores a musical universe full of images that invites you to the trip; a dream trip that pays homage to the cinematic narrative.
Charlie Mancini discovered the music of Pamela Hute online and immediately identified with her artwork. The process of collaboration at a distance began with the theme “Time Passing By” which they were very proud of the result and received various accolades from the Portuguese, French and online community.
The premise for this collaboration was for Charlie Mancini to send instrumentals recorded in his studio in Sines (specifically electric bass and keyboards) and Pamela to complete these ideas in her studio in the south of France joining them with lyrics, vocals, guitars and drums. After the mixing in Pamela´s studio, the mastering was in charge of Jean-Nicholas Casalis at RTM Studios in Paris .
Alen Tagus decided to release an EP, titled Paris, Sines through My Dear Recordings (the label owned by Pamela founded in 2016), and further signed to Circulate Music for North America, Asia and Brazil in a joint release plan, where they released the EP off imprint label, Dreamtime Palace on May 17th.
